Thank you to Meg Heubach, we finally have a landscape to be proud of, easy to maintain, and water efficient.  Meg really understands the soil conditions and the proper plants for this Southern California area.  Having the correct soil for the plants will make the difference!  We had a yard of mixed themes from tropical to Mediterranean.  Then we built a pool and added succulents.  Wow, what a mess of a landscape we had!  It was stressful for us to sit outside.  Meg was a dream to find!  She gave us an immediate low cost vision....she planned out what we were thinking!  And we were able to recycle most of our existing plants just by placing them in the right location and adding to them.  She was a joy to work with.  Extremely professional very efficient and timely.  

We highly recommend using Meg to not only assist in your design but also to serve as your project manager.  She has great landscaper/irrigation recommendations.  And she will keep track of their progress and ensure the plan is implemented as discussed.

Not liking how an overgrown, somewhat-drought-resistant California-style garden went with our Tudor cottage, we asked Meg to design landscaping for the front yard that would complement the home. She redesigned the front steps and walkway and carried the brick pattern of the steps and walkway through to the low retaining wall she added three feet back from the sidewalk to level the front lawn and eliminate runoff. Her design retained a few signature plants : a holly tree, a plum tree and a large rhododendron, and called for plants that would go well with the retained plants and the cottage. Colors were predominantly reds, whites and light greens. The plantings were to require minimal maintenance. We procured the contract labor needed to remake the front yard. While work was in progress Meg took us shopping to a local nursery to select the plants indicated in the design. She placed the plants where they were to go so that the laborers would be sure to plant them in the right places. She made sure that nothing was left to chance. We are very pleased with the finished product, which is a vast improvement over what was formerly there, and get compliments from neighbors and passers-by.

The most recent project was a complete redesign of all our property. The backyard presented the biggest challenge due to a slope. She also gave us books to look through which gave us additional ideas and allowed her to get to know the styles we preferred. 

Meg's final design included extensive retaining walls, a multilevel wood deck, a 10 foot custom designed fireline, stone work, a built-in BBQ, a beautiful wood fence and garden lighting. Meg also selected and placed all the trees and plants. She has an extensive knowledge of plants including their exposure and water needs as well as their growth and bloom patterns. 

The final design was a multilevel yard that is beautiful as well as highly functional. We get many compliments and it's all due to Meg's amazing vision.

We have a unique situation in that there is a lot of natural vegetation near our home and Meg selected plants and trees that tied in beautifully with the surrounding area.. I highly recommend Meg Heubach of Heubach Landscape Design. Meg completely re-designed our half acre residential yard and turned it into a "wow". 

Initially Meg created our landscape design plans. She had a number of challenges and unique requirements to work around. There were elevation changes and we had to modify and extend existing flagstone patio and entry areas. We incorporated an RV area, changed the entry and she created a unique patio seating and fire pit area. I am thrilled with the final plan. 

When I had problems with the landscape contractor I hired, Meg went above and beyond and stepped in to help me complete the project. She consulted and advised me as I took over as the general contractor. The project was extensive and included softscape, hardscape, fencing, drainage, grading and underground utilities.

Meg did an excellent job with plant selection. The project included an extensive plant list and each plant had to be checked for allergy content. She selected and hand picked everything that was installed and ordered them from a variety of sources to assure the best quality and price. Meg personally placed all the plants so there was no confusion with the installer and it came out exactly as she wanted. 

Meg has stayed in touch since the completion to make sure I am completely satisfied and everything is working well.. She sends reminders to fertilize and prune and to make sure her creation is maintained. Meg has an enormous commitment to customer service and I recommend her without reservation.
