Rancho Santa Fe #2
This recently renovated Rancho Santa Fe home was a stunner from the street, but was missing the final touch of a complimentary landscape. A design was created to match the theme of the home as well as the clients personal style.
The design starts at the street with the addition of a rose covered split rail fence set on angles to create dimension and privacy. Behind the fence Chinese Elm trees combine with low maintenance perennials to create additional privacy and year round interest.
A new circular gravel driveway leads up to a series of offset walls surrounding the front entrance gate. In front of these walls architectural plants such as a Dwarf Japanese Maple reside to provide a beautiful silhouette against the wall for daytime drama and night time lighting interest. Inside the front gate a natural stone patio leads you to the front door. Two small planters filled with bright foliage and fragrant blooms enhance the entry experience.
Along the side of the house a steep slope is transversed by a curved paver path and low water plants.
